The new Te Puna Memorial Hall was completed at the end of 2020 and is sited as close as possible to that of the old hall, which was demolished to make way for a roundabout to improve the safety of the intersection of Te Puna Road and State Highway Two.
The Te Puna Hall is now a fantastic venue to hold your next event, whether performance, social or corporate.
The main hall with stage and large backstage can seat 250 people, and provides a state of the art kitchen which opens onto a supper room. With two additional meeting rooms, full wheelchair access and disabled toilet facilities the hall caters to a wide variety of uses.
Hall users can use their own caterers and alcohol is permitted on the premises (with appropriate licences and restrictions).
Located behind the BP Service Station and Te Puna Four Square with Nourish Cafe opposite, Te Puna Deli and The White House restaurant across the highway there are several alternatives to self-catering.
There is parking right outside during the day or night.

Hall Spaces Overview
The entire venue can be booked for your event. The whole venue includes the following:
- Stage & large back stage
- Meeting Room
- Full commercial kitchen
- Supper room
This is the perfect option for weddings, celebrations large conferences, shows, concerts or any event where you want exclusive use of the venue and use of the full kitchen for catering. The hall has great acoustics for live music. The state of the art kitchen, with a commercial dishwasher, double-door fridge, microwave oven, blast oven, several sinks, and loads of bench space is ideal for larger catering functions.
Rates: $100 per hour inc GST. Minimum hire 4 hours. $40 cleaning fee. Capacity 250.
MAIN HALL, STAGE & KITCHENETTE
This option is for groups or events that just need the hall, stage and a small kitchenette for serving pre prepared food or making tea & coffee. It’s ideal for presentations, community meetings, wakes, training, team away days.
We welcome regular hirers to the hall for classes, fitness, community groups etc.
Rates: Casual:$70 per hour inc GST. Minimum hire 2 hours. Capacity 250. Regular hirers (e.g. monthly or weekly use) $30 per hour.
The meeting room is a modern and private space with access to the kitchenette for teas & coffees. It has lots of light and the tables are made from the wood from the original Te Puna hall! Perfect for smaller meetings, groups, board meetings and meet ups.
Rates: $50 per hour inc GST. Minimum Hire 2 hours. Capacity 20.
ARCHIVE ROOM : Off the main foyer is an archive room that will become a place of memory for the Te Puna researchers and genealogists.
PARKING : There’s plenty of parking at the front, south side, and rear of the hall and bike stands for the energetic.
