Outside the Hall

The planting at the back of the hall includes several heritage fruit trees, including plums, peaches, hazel nuts, pears and apples. It is hoped these robust varieties will fruit well and provide fresh fruit for the local community over the warmer months. Also of note – in the gardens around the hall is a Renga Renga lily (Arthropodium) called Te Puna. It is a very attractive small growing selection which was found and named by WBOP district councillor Mark Deans. Further to the above map 5 Peach Greens Special, 6 Hazel nuts and 1 Pear Speckles were planted in November 2020
